Boho Beach House: Serenity Bedroom

nestia-11.jpg

The final bedroom in the house is also upstairs, ver similar in size and setup to the downstairs master bedroom. Truly, the only difference is that the bathroom is shared between both upstairs bedrooms! This room is super bright and sunny and I wanted to make sure I wanted to emphasize that. If you haven’t seen the rest of the project yet, check out my last couple posts on this project The Process, B&W Master Bedroom, Seaside Living Room, Sunny Loft Bedroom, and the Entryway, Kitchen & Hallway. The only room left to reveal after this one is the enclosed patio, so stay tuned!

BEFORE

These photos were from before the renovation. The floors have been updated and the walls were painted with a fresh coat of pale seaside blue.

These photos were from when I first arrived so you can see the new wall color and bright flooring, but same exact furniture set. Although it was older, I was excited to work with it because the wicker is so trendy right now. Nothing says “beach!” more than wicker, so I ran with it.

Like the downstairs bedroom, I found a stunning rug (similar here) that determined the color scheme for the whole space. The coral, blush, gray, and powder blue drove the rest of the room. I found pillows, throw blankets, lamps and a beautiful Florida themed art print at Homegoods. I thrifted a floor vase, pampas grass and a cute sailing print that referenced Syracuse, NY. It seemed too perfect as Gina and I are both from Upstate NY! I tied the final pieces together in the corner with frames from Ikea which I filled with custom watercolor paintings.

My favorite piece in the whole room became this overhead beach painting I created and placed in an Ikea frame.

As this room started to come together it simply felt like a calm and serene space. I imagine it will be a perfect escape for any vacationer to take an afternoon nap!

Continue following along on Instagram and TikTok for video tours, behind the scenes, and extra details of each space! Stay tuned for the rest of the room reveals this week.
