Getting Halloween-y

The good thing about decorating for any holiday in a small apartment is that a little bit of decor can go a long way. I snagged a couple things from Amazon and within a few hours it made an impact. I chose some small pieces that didn’t feel like cheesy, and suddenly my place was Halloween chic! I made a reel of the decorating process that you can watch. Find all the links below to purchase the decor yourself!

First I installed the mini 3D bats which came with small sticker backings to attach them to the wall. I arranged them to look like they’re flying from the ground up and extending onto the ceiling and into my light fixture like a bat’s nest. Really created a spooky vibe and the gradient wall made it even better.

I found mini skeletons, which are easy to move around and place wherever they fit. I hung up black cobwebs on the walls around my TV to fill in the white gaps and make it feel more spooky. A pack of fake pumpkins proved to be useful for the whole apartment wherever I had extra table space! The kitchen and the living room have pumpkins scattered around, and it’s great because they can stay beyond Halloween into Thanksgiving. Finally, my favorite pieces of all were the tall black candles and holders. they feel so spooky while also elegant and something I could see using at any time of year for decorating my dinner table! A quick swap of the candlesticks for different colors can make them work for any occasion.

And resurrecting from last year, the hanging witches hats with battery candles inside just like Harry Potter. This year it was much easier to hang up in my low hallway. I love how it looks with the mirrors and the mural.

I hope this got you in the spirit for Halloween!
