A Golden Triangle Mural in PVD

When my friend Jamie who lives in Providence, RI, heard I was going to be in the Boston area for a few weeks, she asked me to create something special for her apartment. While it may seem like a simple triangle, it was transformative to the room. With high ceilings, beautiful sun from a skylight above, and impeccably curated decor and plants, this pop of gold completed the room.

Jamie’s inspiration came from a couple of her favorite movies. She sent me the photos below, and I think what we landed on absolutely nailed it.

Months ago when I first started Nestia, Jamie was one of my first clients. She’s a friend who has always supported my business endeavors since we first met when I was making jewelry years ago. I helped her find a rug, a chair and advised on a couple items for her space, but overall, Jamie really made this space beautiful on her own and this mural simply enhanced it.

Since I had extra paint and extra time, we even painted a small additional triangle in the corner behind her plant stand. We both loved how the gold would pop through the metal stand and the green plants.

As simple as this design was, I’m so proud of the way it transformed this room. There’s nothing I love more than a client who isn’t afraid of bold color, and Jamie is the perfect example of that.
