Boho Beach House: B&W Master Bedroom

As I stated in my last post (Boho Beach House: The Process), I decided to break up each part of this amazing project. I want every moment in this house to shine! For more details on the nature of this beach house project, refer to the last post for the backstory. The posts following this one will feature the details of every other room in the house.

BEFORE

These photos were from before the renovation-this room had a new fan and flooring by the time I got there.

Below are the “before” pictures, but after the renovation. These photos show the stage the house was in when I first arrived.

The master bedroom, on the lower level, became a show stopper right after the entryway. When I found a bold black and cream woven carpet (similar linked here) I knew I had my theme for the space.

AFTER

From there I looked for black, white and cream accents throughout the room. I landed on a grey comforter (similar linked here) to make it easy to add any pillows or blankets that I wanted. I found a cozy throw blanket (similar), multiple pillows (including this from Ikea!), a textural wall weave (similar), fake plants and a set of lamps with black steel and glass bases from Homegoods.

I rounded out the room with plain black frames and euro pillows and cases from Ikea. My friend Colleen later donated her talents for these beautiful geometric watercolors which really brought the room together!

I think my favorite piece in the room became the small bamboo mirror which I had found at a thrift store and hung up behind the door alongside a woven dreamcatcher.
