A Hockey Kid Bedroom Mural
While working with Seri (of Little Miss Party) on her new house in Florida, we had a million ideas to make it bold and special. If Seri had it her way, and she wasn’t outnumbered by boys, she’d fill the whole house with rainbows and pops of pink. Since that’s not the case, we still made sure to come up with epic designs that the boys would love, including Gavin’s bedroom mural.
Gavin has played hockey since he was little and his number has always been 44. Seri had a custom neon sign made for him (coolest mom ever) and asked me to design a mural around that sign. You can watch the process here!

While we didn’t want to commit to his original request of all black walls, we compromised with this striped triangle using deep matte charcoal and glossy black paint as the backdrop for his new teenage bedroom.
I don’t think there could be a more perfect design for a pre-teen kid as he moves into his teenage years, and luckily Gavin felt the same way/
