A Brooklyn Boho Headboard Mural

Being a creative entrepreneur often comes with a long journey of experimenting with various mediums, trying out new talents, and testing the waters until you find what works. My first business Ramblerose, which I started in college, was handmade jewelry. After college when I left my first job, I would travel all around the country to different artisan trade shows and had an amazing time working on that brand. I’ve eventually allowed that brand evolve into selling my artwork as well. While I’ve discontinued that brand for now to work on Nestia, there’s always a chance I will bring it back to life one day!

Okay, now getting to the mural. When I started getting very busy with Ramblerose, I went out in search of an intern. Since Boston is full of amazing colleges, I knew I wouldn’t have an issue finding someone. Very quickly I received interest from an incredibly talented, ambitious, and clever freshman at Boston University named Rachel Leiner. She started her photography business while in school and has grown exponentially. She pursued her dream after graduating college last spring of moving to New York City. She is incredibly talented, kind, and I’m proud to call her my friend! Below, you’ll see the “before” photos of her first apartment.

Rachel came to me with a request to give her room a little something… special. With a bed frame like hers and no headboard, I thought we could go with a simple bohemian arch. She loved the concept and we got to work.

I absolutely love how it turned out, but more importantly, so did she.
