A Book Nook Mural with Sherwin Williams

Last summer, I was talking with Seri of Little Miss Party about coming up with a fun way to redesign the bedroom her young boys share at her house on Long Island. They had outgrown the kiddie decor and wanted something fun they could partake in designing with us.

Alongside Lisa of Abaca Interiors, we sourced new bedding, this stunning basketball court print, lamps, and cozy book book accessories to fill the space. But most notably, I was able to design the mural you see above. I love seeing how the before and after created such a bold transformation.

Playing with a geometric feel, I reimagined a deep sunset scene to bring about the new colors across the room. I also created the black linear trim across all the edges and corners of the room which was an additional touch to bring it all together.
