a merry mountain mural

Every client who comes to me is different; some know exactly what they’re looking for while some have absolutely no clue. Sara fell somewhere in the middle. She came to me, her heart set on a beautiful lime wash on textured walls around the whole room and ceiling.

As a creative entrepreneur herself, the intention for the room was to create a safe space to inspire her creativity and get some work done. So once she saw more of my work she got super excited about the idea of incorporating a piece of art, built into the room itself. She knew she wanted a more natural feel versus geometric shapes and hard edges, so we settled on a mountain scape that felt very hand-drawn.

For the colors, we took inspiration from decor she had collected traveling around the world, as well as furniture she would use to furnish the space. In keeping with the natural theme, we went with these from Benjamin Moore:

In the end she was absolutely thrilled and promised to send me photos once the room was done! I’ll be sure to update you once she sends them over. In the meantime check out my other murals on my blog, lifestyle and home design on my instagram, or follow along with me on Tik Tok.
